Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad

  • Activity: Arrive in Islamabad. You can fly same day of your arrival between 3 am to 6 am to Skardu

Day 2: Islamabad to Skardu

  • Activity: Fly to Skardu (1-hour flight, weather permitting) or begin a 2-day drive via the Karakoram Highway.
  • Stay: Hotel in Skardu.

Day 3: Skardu Exploration

  • Activity: Explore local landmarks (e.g., Satpara Lake, Kharpacho Fort) and finalize supplies.
  • Stay: Hotel or lodge in Skardu.

Day 4: Skardu to Askole

  • Activity: Drive to Askole (6–8 hours). Meet the local porter's team for the trek.
  • Stay: Campsite in Askole.

Day 5: Trek from Askole to Jhola

  • Activity: Begin the trek (6–7 hours) along the Braldu River.
  • Stay: Campsite at Jhola.

Day 6: Jhola to Panmah Glacier

  • Activity: Cross rocky terrain and moraine to reach the Panmah Glacier (7–8 hours).
  • Stay: Campsite at Panmah Glacier.

Day 7: Panmah Glacier to Lami Duksa

  • Activity: Navigate glacier terrain and icy stretches to reach Lami Duksa (6–7 hours).
  • Stay: Campsite at Lami Duksa.

Day 8: Rest Day at Lami Duksa

  • Activity: Rest and acclimatize to higher altitudes. Optional short hike around the area.

Day 9: Lami Duksa to Shinchapbi Biana

  • Activity: Trek through challenging glacier terrain (6–7 hours).

Day 10: Shinchapbi Biana to Skinmang

  • Activity: Continue trekking to Skinmang (6–7 hours).

Day 11: Skinmang to Drenmang

Day 13: Drenmang to Nobande Sobande Glacier

  • Activity: Cross glacier sections to reach Nobande Sobande Glacier (6–8 hours).

Day 14: Nobande Sobande Glacier to High Camp

  • Activity: Ascend to High Camp, preparing for Sim Pass crossing (5–7 hours).
  • Stay: Campsite at High Camp.

Day 15: Cross Sim Pass

  • Activity: Cross the challenging Sim Pass (5,800 meters) with stunning views and descend to Sim Gang Glacier (7–8 hours).
  • Stay: Campsite at Sim Gang Glacier.

Day 16: Sim Gang Glacier to Snow Lake

  • Activity: Trek to Snow Lake, a massive glacial basin known for its surreal beauty (6–7 hours).

Day 17: Snow Lake to Biafo Glacier Biantha Camp

  • Activity: Start the return journey by trekking to Biafo Glacier (6–7 hours).

Day 18: Biafo Glacier Biantha camp to Namla

  • Activity: Continue trekking along Biafo Glacier toward Namla (6–7 hours).

Day 19: Namla to Askole

  • Activity: Complete the trek by reaching Askole (7–8 hours).

Day 20: Askole to Skardu

  • Activity: Drive back to Skardu via jeep (6–8 hours). Celebrate the trek’s success.

Day 21: Skardu to Islamabad

  • Activity: Fly to Islamabad (weather permitting) or begin the road journey (additional driving day required if by road).

The Panmah Glacier Sim Pass Trek is an adventurous and challenging journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Karakoram mountain range in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. This trek takes you through a series of glaciers, including the Panmah, Chining, Drenmang, Nobande Sobande, and Simgeng Glaciers, eventually leading to the Sim Pass. From there, you can descend to Snow Lake and continue to Askole via the Biafo Glacier or to Nagar via the Hispar Glacier.

It’s a demanding trek, often requiring prior experience with high-altitude trekking and glacier travel. The route offers stunning views of towering peaks, remote valleys, and pristine glaciers, making it a dream destination for seasoned trekkers
