Chillinji Pass Trek
DURATION : 23 DAYS ISLAMABAD TO ISLAMABAD
Day 01
Arrival Islamabad Airport met your guide from Jasmine Tours and transfer to
hotel Briefing at the Ministry of Tourism. Overnight hotel.
Day 02 Drive to Dir (8-9 hours). Overnight hotel.
Day 03 Drive to Chitral through Lawari pass. 5 to 6 hours drive
Day 04 Drive to Kafaristan. Visit and meet Kalash people descendants of the Alexander
The Great.
Day 05 Drive to Mustuj by jeep along the Bank of Kounar River. Continue drive to
Sholkut. End of jeep road, 09 to 10 hours drive. Overnight tents.
Day 06 Start the trek after the breakfast to Lasht. Porter used Donkeys, Horses or Yaks according to their availability. 6 to 7 hours trek. Overnight in tents.
Day 07 Trek from Lasht to Kankon Village. Trek along with the right side of the river bank, Overnight in Yakht-e-dem.5 to 6 hours trek.
Day 08 Trek from Yakht-e-dem to Kismanja village, Overnight in tents. 6 to 7 hours trek.
Day 09 Trek from Kismanja to Ishkarwaz. On this day you can view peaks 4000m to 6000m on the opposite side of river. 5 to 6 hours trek. Over night in tents.
Day 10 Trek from Ishkarwaz to Shawal. This day you are approaching Broghil Pass (pass to enter wakhan Corridor from Chitral). You will view the Hindu Raj Mountains. You will meet nomadic Wakhi people on way . Overnight in tents. 6 to 7 hours trek.
Day 11 Trek from Shawal to Krambar lake (4300m) trek on the green valley . You will meet the shepherds on the way. Overnight in tents. 4 to 5 hours trek.
Day 12 Rest day at Karambar lake. Walk around the lake and green meadows. View the snow covered mountains and glacier in front of you . You will enjoy the whole day.
Day 13 Trek from Karamar lake to Suyench. Trek alongwith the Karambar river and on green meadows.Trek about 5 to 6 hours met the shepherds on the way.
Day 14 Trek from Suyench to Sughterabad. Trek about 4 to 5 hours. You will cross Chuttiboi Glacier, It will take about two hours to cross the Glacier. There is a small pass known as "Kuraburt" pass used by local people from Ishkoman to enter Wakhan Corridor (Pamir region). Over night in tents.
Day 15 Trek from Sughterabad to Chillinji gah. You will cross a puly bridge. Arrive Chillinji gah (forest area known by local people "Warguth jungle"). Overnight in tents. 5 to 6 hours trek.
Day 16 Trek to the base of Chillinji pass . You will ascend to the base of Chillinji pass for about 4 to 5 hours . This trek is little steep. Overnight in tents.
Day 17 Trek to Biater after crossover to Chillinji pass (about 5200m). Lunch break at the top of pass depending on weather conditions etc. From the top of pass you can also view some of the 7000m and 7500 thousand meters peaks of Karakoram. Descend to Biater you will see Glacier and small peaks all around. overnight in Biater ( near Shepherd herds).
Day 18 Trek from Biater to Ziarat. Descending trek for about 4 to 5 hours. Arrive Ziarat. Baba Ghundi saint shrine). The end of the trek and beginning of Churpersan valley. Overnight in tents.
Day 19 If jeep available drive to Sust (Pakistani last border town in Upper Hunza Valley while travelling towards China) through the Chupursan valley. Arrive Sust transfer to hotel.
Day 20 Drive Sust to Khunjerab pass 4000m high. Lunch break (pack) at the top of Khunjerab pass. Return to Sust drive to Hunza View hotel in Hunza. You can view the Rakaposhi and Ulter peak. Visit Baltit fort and bazzar. overnight in hotel.
Day 21 Very early in the mourning drive to Besham. 9 to 10 hours drive.
Day 22 Drive towards Rawalpindi on the Karakoram highway. Besham to Rawalpindi 6 to 7 hours drive. Transfer to hotel at Rawalpindi..
Day 23 Debriefing at Ministry of Tourism Office in Islamabad, In the evening transfer to Islamabad airport for the final good bye from Jasmine Tours. Your guide will transfer you to Islamabad Airport for your flight to final destination.
